Host community chides Guinness for sponsoring golf tournament
The management of brewery giant, Guinness Nigeria Plc, makers of the Guinness brands, have come under severe criticism for organizing a multi-million naira golf tournament instead of responding to the urgent save-our-soul call from the people of Oregbeni, in Edo State the host community.
According to the aggrieved people of Oregbeni, hundreds of their members have suffered from effluent discharge from the plant of Guinness in Oregbeni, a sprawling community along Benin-Agbor Expressway.
