Preliminary data released by the Bulgarian National Statistics Institute, NSI , showed that Bulgaria's seasonally adjusted Industrial Production Index decreased by 0.4% in November 2011, as compared to October 2011.
In November 2011, work day adjusted Industrial Production Index rose by 0.6% as compared to the same month of 2010.
In November 2011, compared to October 2011, the seasonally adjusted Industrial Production Index in the mining and quarrying industry decreased by 13.6%, in the manufacturing - by 1.5%, while in the electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply increased by 1.9%.
The most significant decreases of production in the manufacturing were seen in the manufacture of fabricated metal products, except machinery and equipment by 10.7%, in the manufacture of rubber and plastic products by 8.1%, in the manufacture of beverages by 7.2%, in the manufacture of paper and paper products by 6.0%, in the manufacture of wearing apparel by 3.9%. There was increase in the repair and installation of machinery and equipment by 15.5%, in the manufacture of tobacco products by 14.4%, in the manufacture of electrical equipment by 8.2%.
